Celebrating Black History Month: Honoring Culture, Beauty, and Resilience in Durham
As a proudly black-owned and founded photography business, Black History Month is very important to who we are and the beauty that is often showcased in our work. Black History is a staple to not only me but to my family, my peers and to the work that I create. We want to ensure that we are creating a safe and inclusive environment for all of our clients, but especially our clients of colour who feel that the colour of their skin may not display the radiance that is captured within. With February just around the corner, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the history, culture, beauty, and resilience that the black people in our community have to offer in celebration of Black History. Below is a list of events that are happening in the Durham and Scarborough region throughout February. This allows everyone to be able to experience and witness the culture that is so dear to my heart.
