I’m a Nikon Shooter

In my About page, I mention my longstanding interest in photography. However, when a student at the college where I worked, Berham, introduced me to the Nikon D850 and discovered this great camera's capabilities. The Nikon D850 was an impressive beast, with all the features and functions any aspiring photographer would desire. However, I found it excessive for my needs, so I opted for the next model, the Nikon D500. Both cameras were beautiful DSLRs, but they differed in sensor size – one being full-frame and the other a crop sensor.

Embracing my passion, I visited Downtown Camera, a store that kindly addressed my enthusiastic inquiries. At that time, I was living my best life and boldly decided to return the Nikon D500 just after six months and upgrade to the flagship Nikon D850. This camera became my trusted companion over the following years as I gained confidence and deepened my understanding of photography and Nikon Cameras. Then, around late 2020, Nikon announced their new mirrorless camera lineup; this presented a golden opportunity for me to acquire a lighter camera system. So naturally, I made the trade-in again and purchased the Nikon Z7ii, which I currently use.

I have been fortunate enough to experience several rewarding years as a photographer in the Durham Region, navigating through the lows and highs of this creative journey. Along the way, I've been lucky to acquire my second camera body to assist with significant photoshoot events and prepare for venturing into the world of videography. As I continue my photography journey, I eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Nikon Z8, which will accompany my ongoing exploration and growth.
